What StoryMine Is

StoryMine lets you create a personalized watercolor picture book in which your child is the hero — illustrated to look like them on every page and, optionally, narrated in a cloned version of your own voice. You can preview pages, download a digital book (PDF + audio), and order a printed hardcover.

StoryMine is a consumer keepsake and gifting product. It is not a medical, therapeutic, educational, or professional service, and the stories it generates are works of fiction created for entertainment and sentimental value.

By accessing or using StoryMine, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make purchases. By uploading a child's photo, name, or likeness, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you otherwise have the right and permission to use that material to create a book.

Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Your Content and the Books You Create

• You own your inputs. You retain ownership of the photos, voice samples, names, and prompts you provide.
• License to operate. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs solely to generate, store, and deliver your book and narration, and to fulfill printed orders. We do not use your child's photo or voice sample to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy.
• The finished book. When you purchase a book, you receive it for your personal, non-commercial keepsake and gifting use. You may print, share, and gift your own book.
• Acceptable use. You agree not to upload photos or content you do not have the right to use, and not to create books that are unlawful, infringing, sexual, hateful, or that depict a child in a harmful or exploitative way. We may refuse or remove content that violates these rules.

Generated Content Disclaimer

Books are produced by automated AI systems. Illustrations are an artistic interpretation and may not perfectly match the reference photo, and generated story text may contain inaccuracies. Character consistency is optimized but not guaranteed to be identical on every page. You can preview before you pay.

Pricing, Payments, and Refunds

• Pricing is shown on our Pricing page: a free 3-page preview, a digital book, and a printed hardcover keepsake. Prices are in USD and may change with notice.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Because each book is personalized and made to order, digital purchases are generally non-refundable once the full book has been generated, except where required by law. If a printed hardcover arrives damaged or defective, contact us and we will arrange a reprint or refund.

Printed (Hardcover) Orders

Hardcover books are produced and shipped by third-party print-on-demand partners. Production and delivery times vary. Final hardcover pricing may depend on page count and shipping destination, and is shown before you pay.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, to us, or to third parties.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryMine's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the book at issue.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold StoryMine harmless from claims arising out of content you provide or your misuse of the service, including any claim that you lacked the right to use a photo, name, or likeness you uploaded.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
